Lamar Avenue Church of Christ desires that our children, teens and young adults Love God, Love Others, and Serve the World. We have a variety of events and activities that help engage, and encourage them to love and serve.
Our Sunday and Wednesday classes allow them to grow deeper in the knowledge of God’s Word and connect with God’s people. We have devotionals and Bible studies at different times throughout the month drawing them into relationship with other people in the homes of families that are a part of LACOC.
Throughout the year we integrate fun activities such as paintball and a trip to Six Flags to allow them to have an enjoyable time with their peers. These events not only allow relationships to grow but they give our children, youth, and young adults an alternative to the entertainment that this world has to offer.
Lamar Avenue Church of Christ has several big events that have multiple functions. Our retreats allow us to take time away from the influences of the world and regroup as Christians in God’s Word and exciting activities for a weekend. We are affiliated with Camp Deer Run and our youth are highly impacted as they attend a one or two week session during the summer. In the past we have taken mission trips to Mexico, Honduras, and an inner city shelter.
Special events are scheduled for the youth group during the summer months. Activities such as Tag Team Tuesday (Service, Lunch, Time with Friends), Camp Deer Run, Rough Riders Baseball Game, Mission Trip, and the Back to School Bash are held.
